Day 1 | Arrival in Paro & Drive to Thimphu Valley

Day 2 | Thimphu Valley Exploration

Thimphu Valley

  • Try your hand at traditional crafts by making Bhutanese paper at Jungshi Paper Factory using ancient methods.

  • Stroll through the Centenary Farmer Market, the busiest market in the city, offering fresh Bhutanese produce.

  • Lunch at Simply Bhutan Restaurant.

  • Visit the Folk Heritage Museum to witness Bhutanese material culture and traditional living practices.

  • Explore Tashi Chhoe Dzong, the “Fortress of the Glorious Religion,” which houses the throne room and offices of His Majesty the King of Bhutan.

  • Leisure time in Thimphu City.

Day 3 | Drive to Punakha Valley

Punakha Valley

  • Journey through some of Bhutan’s most spectacular landscapes, from high mountain passes to tiered fields, along the banks of the Pho Chu and Mo Chu rivers.

  • Stop at Dochula Pass to admire a 360-degree panoramic view of the Himalayan mountain ranges.

  • Take a short hike to Chimi Lhakhang, the temple dedicated to the ‘Divine Madman,’ renowned for its phallic symbols and blessings for fertility.

  • Lunch at a local restaurant.

  • Explore the Pungthang Dewachen Phodrang (Palace of Great Happiness), a beautiful fortress that serves as the winter residence of Bhutan’s Central Monastic Body.

  • Walk along the longest suspension bridge in Bhutan and cross the Pho Chu River, soaking in the serene river valley views.

Day 5 | Paro – Tiger’s Nest Hike

  • Hike to Taktsang Monastery, famously known as Tiger’s Nest, perched dramatically on a cliffside. It is the most stunning and popular landmark in Bhutan.

  • Enjoy lunch at Taktsang Cafeteria, overlooking the breathtaking Paro Valley below.

  • Spend some leisure time in Paro Town exploring or relaxing.

  • Rejuvenate with a traditional Bhutanese hot stone bath, which combines natural minerals with healing khempa herbs for a unique wellness experience.

  • Dinner at a local farmhouse and overnight stay in Paro.

Day 6 | Depart Paro
