Day 1 | Arrival Paro and Drive to Thimphu Valley

Arrival in Bhutan

  • Upon landing at Paro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative who will accompany you throughout your stay in Bhutan.

  • Transfer to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan, and check in to your hotel.

  • Explore Thimphu Valley, home to the seat of Bhutan’s Royal Government and the Central Monastic Body.

  • Join local devotees and elderly residents as they circumambulate the National Memorial Chorten, one of the most prominent religious landmarks in Thimphu.

  • Take the opportunity to make your own traditional Bhutanese paper at Jungshi Paper Factory, using ancient Bhutanese techniques.

  • Enjoy leisure time exploring Thimphu City.

  • Dinner at the hotel.

Day 2 | Thimphu Valley Exploration

Thimphu Valley

  • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before exploring more exciting sites in Thimphu.

  • Take a short hike along the Wangditse Nature Trail and capture the admirable views of Thimphu Valley.

  • Experience an exciting downhill cycling adventure from BBS Tower Station to Dechenchhoeling via Samtenling, continuing towards Thimphu City via Taba, enjoying scenic landscapes along the way.

  • Visit Zilukha Nunnery to discover the lifestyle and daily spiritual practices of the nuns residing in the monastery.

  • Lunch at a local restaurant.

  • Explore the Folk Heritage Museum, which offers fascinating insights into Bhutanese material culture and traditional living practices.

  • Take a stroll through the bustling Centenary Farmer Market, where fresh Bhutanese produce and local products are available.

  • Visit Tashichho Dzong, known as the “Fortress of the Glorious Religion,” which houses the throne room and offices of His Majesty the King of Bhutan.

  • Enjoy leisure time exploring Thimphu City.

Day 3 | Drive to Punakha Valley

Punakha Valley

  • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before driving towards the beautiful Punakha Valley, the ancient capital of the Kingdom of Bhutan.

  • The journey to Punakha takes you through some of Bhutan’s most spectacular scenery, from high mountain passes to terraced fields along the banks of the Pho Chu and Mo Chu rivers.

  • Stop at Dochula Pass to capture breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views of the Himalayan mountain ranges.

  • Begin an exciting downhill cycling adventure from Dochula to Punakha, enjoying the scenic mountain landscapes along the way.

  • Visit Chimi Lhakhang, the temple of the Divine Madman, Lama Drukpa Kunley.

  • Continue the cycling journey and enter the courtyard of Pungthang Dewachen Phodrang (Palace of Great Happiness), the beautiful fortress that serves as the winter residence of Bhutan’s Central Monastic Body.

  • Walk across the longest suspension bridge in the region and cross the Pho Chu River.

  • Enjoy leisure time in Khuruthang Town.

  • Dinner at the hotel.

Day 4 | Punakha Valley and Drive to Paro Valley

Punakha – Paro Valley

  • Return towards Punakha with an exciting cycling ride through the scenic valley.

  • Lunch at a local restaurant.

  • Drive to the beautiful Paro Valley, one of the most picturesque and widest valleys in the Kingdom of Bhutan.

  • Stop at Dochula Pass before continuing with a downhill cycling ride towards Simtokha, then proceed with the drive to Paro.

  • Enjoy leisure time exploring Paro Town.

  • Check in to your hotel.

  • Dinner at the hotel.

Day 5 | Paro – Hike to Tiger’s Nest

Paro Valley

  • Embark on a hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), Bhutan’s most revered pilgrimage site and one of the kingdom’s most iconic landmarks, perched dramatically on a cliffside.

  • Lunch at the Taktsang Cafeteria, overlooking the monastery and stunning valley views.

  • Leisure time in Paro Town, allowing you to explore the local surroundings at your own pace.

  • Experience a traditional Bhutanese hot stone bath, where heated minerals are combined with the healing khempa herb for a unique wellness experience.

  • Dinner at a local farmhouse, enjoying authentic Bhutanese cuisine.

  • Overnight in Paro.

Day 6 | Departure from Paro 

Departure
