Day 1 | Arrival in Bhutan

Welcome to Bhutan

  • Upon landing at Paro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative who will accompany you throughout your journey in Bhutan. You will then be transferred to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan, and check in to your hotel.

  • Explore Thimphu Valley, home to the seat of Bhutan’s Royal Government and the Central Monastic Body.

  • Join local devotees and elderly residents as they circumambulate the National Memorial Chorten, one of the most prominent religious landmarks in Thimphu.

  • Witness the traditional methods of producing Bhutanese handmade paper at the Jungshi Paper Factory.

  • Visit Tashichho Dzong, known as the “Fortress of the Glorious Religion.” The fortress houses the throne room and offices of His Majesty the King of Bhutan.

  • Enjoy leisure time exploring Thimphu City.

  • Dinner at the hotel.

  • Overnight in Thimphu.

Day 2 | Thimphu Valley Exploration

Thimphu Valley

  • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before continuing your exploration of Thimphu Valley with visits to several fascinating sites in the capital city.

  • Observe the unique and rare Takin, Bhutan’s national animal, at the Motithang Takin Preserve.

  • Visit Zilukha Nunnery (Drubthob Goemba) and discover the peaceful lifestyle of the nuns residing in the monastery.

  • Explore the Folk Heritage Museum, which showcases Bhutanese material culture and traditional rural life.

  • Lunch at Simply Bhutan Restaurant.

  • Visit Buddha Dordenma, one of the largest sitting Buddha statues in the world, and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Thimphu City.

  • Continue to Changangkha Lhakhang, an ancient temple perched on a hilltop offering beautiful views of the Thimphu Valley.

  • Take a walk through the lively Centenary Farmers Market, where local farmers sell fresh Bhutanese produce and traditional products.

  • Enjoy leisure time exploring Thimphu City.

  • Dinner at the hotel.

  • Overnight in Thimphu.

Day 3 | Drive to Phobjikha Valley

Phobjikha Valley

  • Enjoy an early breakfast at the hotel before driving towards the majestic Phobjikha Valley, one of Bhutan’s most scenic glacial valleys.

  • Stop at Dochula Pass to capture a stunning 360-degree panoramic view of the Himalayan mountain ranges and the famous 108 stupas.

  • Descending from Dochula Pass, enjoy a short hike to Chimi Lhakhang, a temple dedicated to the Divine Madman, Lama Drukpa Kunley, and known for its unique phallic symbols.

  • Lunch at Hotel Lobesa.

  • Continue your journey and explore Phobjikha Valley, the winter home of the endangered Black-necked cranes and one of the most breathtaking landscapes in Bhutan.

  • Check in to your hotel and relax.

  • Dinner at the hotel.

  • Overnight in Phobjikha.

Day 4 | Transfer to Punakha Valley

Punakha Valley

  • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before beginning the journey towards Punakha Valley.

  • Visit the historic Gangtey Goemba, located at the head of the valley. This important monastery belongs to the Nyingmapa school of Buddhism and serves as the main seat of the Pema Lingpa tradition where religious teachings are still practiced.

  • Take a relaxing walk along the Gangtey Nature Trail, passing through streams, rhododendron gardens, and traditional villages while enjoying the beautiful natural surroundings.

  • Visit the Black-Necked Crane Information Center, where you can learn interesting facts about the endangered Black-necked cranes through videos, brochures, and informative displays.

  • Lunch at a local restaurant.

  • Continue your drive to Punakha Valley, one of Bhutan’s most beautiful and historically significant valleys.

  • Check in to your hotel and relax.

  • Dinner at the hotel.

  • Overnight in Punakha.

Day 5 | Drive to Paro Valley

Paro Valley

  • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before driving north along the Mo Chhu River.

  • Visit the Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten, where you can enjoy a scenic picnic breakfast while admiring a bird’s-eye view of the fertile Punakha Valley.

  • Enter the courtyard of Pungthang Dewachen Phodrang (Punakha Dzong), also known as the Palace of Great Happiness. This magnificent fortress serves as the winter residence of Bhutan’s Central Monastic Body.

  • Walk across one of Bhutan’s longest suspension bridges, crossing the Pho Chhu River while enjoying the surrounding scenery.

  • Lunch at a local restaurant.

  • Continue your journey to the beautiful Paro Valley, one of the most picturesque and widest valleys in Bhutan, known for its fertile rice fields and crystal-clear river flowing through the valley.

  • Enjoy leisure time exploring Paro Town.

Day 6 | Paro – Tiger’s Nest Hike

Tiger’s Nest Monastery

  • Enjoy an early breakfast at the hotel before driving to the Tiger’s Nest Base (Taktsang Parking Area).

  • Begin the hike to Taktsang Monastery, also known as Tiger’s Nest, one of Bhutan’s most sacred pilgrimage sites and the most iconic landmark in the kingdom, dramatically perched on a cliffside.

  • Lunch at the Taktsang Cafeteria, offering beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.

  • Later, experience Bhutanese traditional archery, the national sport of Bhutan.

  • Enjoy a traditional Bhutanese hot stone bath, a unique local wellness experience that combines heated river stones and healing khempa herbs.

  • Dinner at a local farmhouse, offering an authentic Bhutanese dining experience.

  • Overnight in Paro.

Day 7 | Departure from Paro
