Day 1 | Arrive Paro and Drive to Thimphu Valley

Thimphu Valley

  • Upon landing at Paro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative who will accompany you throughout your stay in Bhutan.

  • Transfer to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan, and explore Thimphu Valley, home to the seat of Bhutan’s Royal Government and the Central Monastic Body.

  • Join local devotees and elderly residents as they circumambulate the National Memorial Chorten, one of the most prominent religious landmarks in Thimphu.

  • Visit Tashichho Dzong, the current seat of the Druk Gyalpo (King of Bhutan) and offices of the civil government.

  • Enjoy leisure time exploring Thimphu City.

  • Dinner at the hotel.

Day 2 | Drive to Punakha Valley

Thimphu - Punakha Valley

  • Visit Zilukha Nunnery and interact with the cheerful nuns, learning about their daily life and spiritual practices.

  • Observe the unique Takin, Bhutan’s national animal, and appreciate its fascinating characteristics.

  • Explore the National Institute for Zorig Chusum, showcasing Bhutanese traditional arts and crafts that hold symbolic meaning to the country.

  • Lunch at a local restaurant.

  • Drive towards Punakha Valley, stopping at Dochula Pass for stunning 360-degree panoramic views of the Himalayan mountain ranges.

  • Visit Chimi Lhakhang, the temple of the Divine Madman, Lama Drukpa Kunley.

  • Enter the courtyard of Pungthang Dewachen Phodrang (Palace of Great Happiness), the winter residence of Bhutan’s Central Monastic Body.

  • Walk along the longest suspension bridge and cross the Pho Chu River.

  • Enjoy leisure time in Khuruthang Town before dinner.

Day 3 | Drive to Paro Valley

  • Drive to the beautiful Paro Valley, one of Bhutan’s most picturesque and widest valleys, renowned for its fertile rice fields and crystal-clear rivers.

  • Explore nearby ruins and some of the valley’s oldest and holiest religious monuments, gaining insight into Bhutan’s rich history and culture.

  • Visit a traditional farmhouse to learn about the lifestyle of local farmers and appreciate the vibrant colors and architecture of Bhutanese rural life.

  • Leisure time in Paro Town.

  • Dinner at the hotel.

Day 4 | Paro – Hike to Tiger’s Nest

Paro Valley

  • Lunch at the Taktsang Cafeteria, with stunning views of the monastery and surrounding mountains.

  • Visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest temples, originally built in the 7th century, to explore its historical and spiritual significance.

  • Relax and rejuvenate with a traditional Bhutanese hot stone bath, a local wellness practice combining heated minerals with the healing khempa herb.

  • Dinner at a local farmhouse, enjoying authentic Bhutanese cuisine.

  • Overnight in Paro.

Day 5 | Departure from Paro
