Day 1 | Arrival

Paro & Thimphu Essentials

  • Upon landing at Paro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative who will accompany you throughout your stay in Bhutan.

  • Transfer to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan, and begin exploring Thimphu Valley, home to the seat of Bhutan’s Royal Government and the Central Monastic Body.

  • Join local devotees and elderly residents as they circumambulate the National Memorial Chorten, one of the most visible and important religious structures in Thimphu.

  • Visit Tashichhoe Dzong, the current seat of the Druk Gyalpo (King of Bhutan) and the administrative center of the civil government.

  • Enjoy leisure time exploring Thimphu City.

  • Dinner at the hotel.

Day 2 | Thimphu and Drive to Paro Valley

Thimphu Culture & Drive to Paro

  • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before continuing your exploration of Thimphu with visits to several exciting sites.

  • Visit Buddha Dordenma, one of the largest sitting Buddha statues in the world, and admire the fascinating panoramic view of Thimphu City.

  • Observe the unique and fascinating Takin, Bhutan’s national animal, at the Motithang Takin Preserve.

  • Interact with the cheerful nuns at Zilukha Nunnery and learn about their peaceful monastic lifestyle.

  • Lunch at a local restaurant.

  • Visit the Jungshi Handmade Paper Factory and witness the traditional methods of producing Bhutanese handmade paper.

  • Drive towards the beautiful Paro Valley, one of the most picturesque and widest valleys in the Kingdom of Bhutan.

  • Explore the impressive courtyard of Paro Rinpung Dzong and admire the unique beauty of traditional Bhutanese architecture.

Day 3 | Paro - Hike to Tiger's Nest

Tiger's Nest & Ancient Temples

  • Enjoy an early breakfast at the hotel before driving to the Tiger’s Nest Base (Taktsang Parking Area).

  • Begin the hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), the most sacred pilgrimage site in Bhutan and one of the kingdom’s most stunning and iconic landmarks, perched dramatically on a cliffside.

  • Lunch at the Taktsang Cafeteria, with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.

  • Visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest temples, originally built in the 7th century, and explore its spiritual and historical significance.

  • Experience the traditional Bhutanese hot stone bath, a unique wellness practice combining heated minerals with the healing khempa herb.

  • Dinner at a local farmhouse, enjoying an authentic Bhutanese dining experience.

  • Overnight in Paro.

  • Our representative will transfer you to Paro International Airport for your onward flight. We hope you have enjoyed your journey in the Beautiful Land of Happiness and look forward to welcoming you again.
